Back To The Future Film Recreation


To be honest I wasn't really here for the production process (absent) so I mostly just did my version of editing for the clips that my group made.

If I'm going to reflect, I think my group did a really good job recreating the scene. The actors placements in the clips were pretty much spot on compared to the scene. While the clothing was not exact, it fit and could still be placed with the same style. My group members did a really good job of recreating similar music to that in the actual clip from Back To The Future.

I think I summed up most of successes in my reflections, but I still want to discuss things I would do better. For one, I would make sure to show up to our filming. I would also work on fixing our timing for pauses and when we end clips. Another big thing is that one of my group members had a habit of looking at the camera, and there was one scene where I was forced to show a second of them looking at the camera in order for the clips to be correct. These are some of the basic things that I would fix immediately if I could go back in time, however all I can do is hope to improve these things in my next film.

Film Critique Reflection (March 2019)

(I was unable to edit the film, so I'm using my classmate Eamonn's edit) Examine the comments you received on your film. We were told that the acting was really well done, most of the jokes landed, and our handheld camera scenes were well done. Reflect on what you feel you did best I think our intro scene was the best part of the film, and most of the class agreed. The cinematography was at it's peak, the music fit perfectly, and the flow made sense. Reflect on what your classmates said you did well. I felt my acting was definitely the weakest of the group and was really poor, however the rest of my group did a fantastic job and were very believable. Reflect on what you feel you need to improve on. We had some scenes where our lighting could have been better, especially in the storage closet.
