Film Critique Reflection (March 2019)
(I was unable to edit the film, so I'm using my classmate Eamonn's edit)
- Examine the comments you received on your film.
We were told that the acting was really well done, most of the jokes landed, and our handheld camera scenes were well done.
- Reflect on what you feel you did best
I think our intro scene was the best part of the film, and most of the class agreed. The cinematography was at it's peak, the music fit perfectly, and the flow made sense.
- Reflect on what your classmates said you did well.
I felt my acting was definitely the weakest of the group and was really poor, however the rest of my group did a fantastic job and were very believable.
- Reflect on what you feel you need to improve on.
We had some scenes where our lighting could have been better, especially in the storage closet. On top of that, our cinematography was weak in some scenes.
- Reflect on what your classmates suggested you improve on.
- Finally, write a statement on your strengths and weaknesses
and formulate a plan for what to focus on during future projects.
We had good acting and our hallway scenes were done really. We could really work on making our room scenes more interesting, maybe using more creative angles or some sort of thing.

- What can you improve?
- What are your strengths and how can you make them
even better?
We could try using more handheld camera or hallway scenes, maybe have rehearsals of scenes beforehand so our legit scenes are better and the acting therefore improved.
